1:600 Scale Die-cast Models
Before there was 400 scale and before there were Herpa’s 500 scale, the world of diecast airliners was ruled by 1:600 scale models made by the German company Schabak. These small cheap decaled models were widely available at retailers, airport shops and onboard aircraft themselves. They originated from the original Schuco of the 1960s and morphed into tampo printed models that stayed in production until at least 2017. This area of the site is dedicated to looking at these charming little models.
