If it wasn’t for Aeroclassics the Airbus A310 would be very poorly covered in 400 scale as it is Aeroclassics who have released 91 of the 156 made to date. The majority of the rest of the releases are on awful moulds, but even some of the Aeroclassics releases are in need of replacement. Additionally, there are still quite a few really good A310 options that Aeroclassics hasn’t yet attempted. With the new JC Wings A310 mould finally in production now is a good time to revisit the 3Ten and see what the best options for new models are.
Below you can see the new JC Wings A310 offers a lot of opportunity for a modern mould fitted with superior undercarriage and aerials compared to the Aeroclassics versions.

Below are a selection of great A310 options either not made by Aeroclassics yet or in need of a re-release because of issues with older versions:
Western Europe
Aeroclassics accidentally put winglets on the Swissair A310 they made so a re-release would be most welcome:
Eastern Europe
The A310 was also important in Eastern Europe and all 3 of these are missing (Aeroclassics made a later Tarom scheme but not the main one):
Asia
Summary
So that’s 38 opportunities for the new JC Wings A310 mould (or Aeroclassics) for further 3Tens – many of which feature major flag carriers. Get to it!
